The FAQ
Do you Travel?
Yes! We are currently reside in the Central California Coast near San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria, but we are willing to travel around the rest of California. So far we have been to San Francisco numerous times, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Sacramento, and Napa Valley! To travel would require a traveling fee; Please contact for any further questions about traveling to you for your special event!
How long have you been doing this?
My passion for capturing life through my lens began as a young child, starting with a classic Polaroid 600. I experimented with Polaroids, digital cameras, and disposable film cameras throughout middle school. In high school, I took photography and Photoshop/graphic design courses. After a brief hiatus after school and simply using RAW iPhone, I finally invested in my first DSLR camera, a Canon in 2020, and I’ve been living my dream career ever since!
How many photos do we get?
It all depends on the package(s) you select, which vary in time, location, and the amount of subjects in the session. For example a mini shoot of 30 minutes would be a total of 30 photos, compared to a bigger package like Maternity or Newborn, which includes 60-70 photos for 2 hours.
How do we get our photos?
For my clients I like to deliver the finished product through a professional, clean, easily-navigated online photo gallery (accessible 24/7 for download, sharing, and viewing), along with a really nice chocolate brown wood USB drive to keep a hard copy. Another amenity I offer is to create an app of your gallery for $10, and can be downloaded by anyone you share with as well!
Do you retouch photos?
Since I’m skilled in Photoshop and Lightroom, I absolutely do! It’s all up to you how much you’d like retouched, and what, exactly. Of course, I edit the necessities: fly-away hairs, lint, unflattering shadows, blemishes, spots, etc, to give a clean look. If you’d like, I can always retouch anything you’d like at request, such as makeup, tattoos, scars, smiles, replacing the sky and more. Feel free to ask!
Whats your turn around time?
This all depends on several factors, such as the package and photo amount for each, the amount of people in the shoot, and special editing requests such as Photoshopping in backgrounds and skies. On average, turnaround time is about 3-4 weeks for larger sessions/packages, excluding my mini sessions, about 1.5-2 weeks. Big events such as elopements and quinceañeras, take about 4-5 weeks as they include 150+ edited photos.
How do we book you?
Lucky for you, my website makes it extremely easy to book me for whatever session or package you’d like.
Can you help us with planning?
If there’s anything else I’m skilled in, it’s planning for my photoshoots and events! I’d be more than happy to consult with you on your theme, vision, location, outfits, poses, and more! I like to organize a Pinterest board of what I envision from what you request, and we can build the perfect dream shoot! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re unsure or would like some inspiration!
How far out do you book?
For now, I like to book only up to a year in advance. Anything further, I can’t always guarantee just in case of unforeseen events on either my side or the clients, especially as a new busy mom. Not to worry though: soon, I will open up my availability out to two years in advance. My email is always open for booking/availability questions.
What should we do for an engagement session?
First, I’d like you to close your eyes. Envision you and your soulmate. When you think of your dream engagement photoshoot, what do you see? A magical, sunny field during golden hour, with the sun rays casting between a kiss? A light and airy walk on one of our coastal beaches or dunes, hand in hand, as the breeze flows and waves lap? Or maybe, a bold, rich, intimate session in the city during dusk, with dazzling lights, historic and modern structures, with a few sultry black and white photos?
It all depends on you, your love story, and what you would expect your session to look in YOUR dream.
What should we wear?
Everyone’s number one thought when creating a photoshoot:
“What will I possibly wear?”
Would you like a certain theme for your session? Maybe color-coordinated outfits for family or newborn shoots? Possibly, something bold and daring for your solo portraits? I also offer a gorgeous dusty pink tulle gown robe for my maternity sessions, and plan to buy 2 additional ones in sky blue, and neutral beige. For newborns, I have a few adorable, knit onesies with matching caps, in beige and white.
If you’d like any inspiration on solo, coordinating, or maternity outfits, feel free to message me so we can build the perfect outfit(s) for your session!
